8:50 AM Physician-Hospital Relationships: Where and Where Not to Step
To an increasing degree, hospitals and physician practices are entering into a wide array of business relationships. As they move forward together to improve their services to patients and their finances, they enter a terrain littered with legal landmines. This program will describe where and where not to step.
Robert Zinkham leads Venable's healthcare practice. Having spent 25 years exclusively practicing healthcare law, Mr. Zinkham develops and organizes business relationships between hospitals and physicians, representing both large hospital systems and physician groups.
Peter P. Parvis, a partner with Venable, he has spearheaded efforts to consolidate medical resources for efficiency and quality care. His experience in having represented all elements of the pharmaceutical and DME field, hospitals, other institutional providers, physicians, and payors, including Blue Cross Associations and HMOs, provides the necessary base to advise clients in how best to protect and position themselves in the frequently chaotic health care environment.
